Cornerstone Worship Center of Palestine
We believe that God has called us to reach the un-churched of our city by providing a caring structure
for families, diversity in worship, caring groups, and knowledge of spiritual gifts.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven
and in earth.
Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold,
I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.
Mission Value Statement
• We believe that the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus involves: Salvation, Baptism, Prayer,
and Ongoing learning about the Christian life, Regular worship, and participation in activities that utilize
one’s spiritual gifts for ministry.
• We value the bible as the inspired Word of God from which Christians learn about God’s truths.
• We believe in the importance of stewardship of time, talents, treasures, and the earth’s resources
as a sign of a mature Christian faith.
• We believe that evangelism is the role of every Christian.
• We believe that our congregation is meant to be multicultural serving one God in unity.
Psalm 133:1-3
A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for
brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard,
even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of
Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.
• We are a charismatic church, in other words we believe in the contemporary operation of the
gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in. 1 Corinthians Chapter 12
• We will be unapologetic but gracious to those that disagree with our charismatic believe or
practices. We are not ashamed of the Holy Spirit, His activities, His gifting, His power or the things He
does that are not natural to our mind or other believers in our society. We should never compromise
our belief or practices for the sake of church growth or social respect.
• As we go forward it is our vision and passion to help as many churches and the un-churched gain
an understanding of a healthy church environment.
• We will do this through outreach, relationship, conferences, and ministry resources.
Twelve Guiding Values of the Church
These will be enduring values that are upheld, maintained and imparted to future generations.
They are as follows:
• COMPASSION/Philippians 4:5
We will express an attitude and spirit of compassion and mercy balanced with truth to all individuals.
We will be outward focused, with a desire to reach the lost and to heal and restore the hurting.
• EQUALITY/Jeremiah 22:13-16
We will be committed to justice and right treatment of all individuals. We will not show partiality to any
individual or group, and will strive to remain above reproach in all dealings with people.
• EXCELLENCE/Colossians 3:17-23
In every area of ministry and administration we will be representatives for the glory of God. Every
individual and ministry will carry a spirit of excellence embracing continuous effort to do better, and
always striving for God’s best.
• FAITH/Hebrews 11:6
We will be decisive and proactive based on God’s revealed direction and plans. Though we will guard
against presumption, we will not be driven or hindered by fear based on circumstances of the unknown.
• GENEROSITY/2 Corinthians 9:6
We will seek opportunities to generously share our resources and reproduce what God has produced in
us and given to us.
• HUMILITY/James 4:6
The spirit of leadership will be the servant spirit.
• INTEGRITY/Philippians 2:15
We uphold all biblical standards for conduct and reputation for personal, family, business, financial and
community involvement for all individuals in the organization. We will strive to remain above reproach
in all areas, realizing that we represent Christ to the world as His ambassadors.
• KINGDOM-MINDED/1 Corinthians 12:14-27
We will be committed to advancing the work of the kingdom in the body of Christ at large, by
recognizing and supporting other churches and ministries.
• SERVICE/Ezekiel 44
Administration will be the servant of ministry. Administration exists to serve ministry so that it
functions with effective and predictable results. In every area and level of ministry, a servant spirit will
be modeled, mentored and upheld.
• SUBMISSION/ Romans 13:1
We embrace God’s ultimate position of authority (JESUS is the head of the Church) and God’s plan
for delegated authority. We will be submissive and honor all levels of authority. Within CWC we will
ensure that we are always operating according to the delegated authority that God has ordained.
• TRUTHS AND SPIRIT CENTERED/ John 1: 1,14,16
We are committed to being fully grounded in spiritual truth and fully empowered by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is our road map, and the Holy Spirit is our guide and empowerment to reach God’s destiny
for us as a church.
• UNITY/ Psalm 133
Unity will require us to focus on vision and values. The efforts of every individual will be harnessed to
the vision. A team approach to ministry, problem solving, decision making and operating within the
integrity of our structure will be normal. All disagreement and offenses will be dealt with in a timely and
biblical manner.
To Accomplish our Vision and Mission Values
We will help develop other ministries and services designed to reach as many people as possible with
multiple areas and different ways.
We will not prefer any age group but seek to minister, to all ages
We will not allow racism in any form, but seek to minister to and be a reconciliation agency for racial
unity.
We will have an aggressive Men’s & Women’s Ministries.
We will be scripturally sound, but culturally sensitive to needs, hurts, and opportunities.
We will develop ministries as the Lord leads to reach the lost, lonely, needy and hurting people.
We will start a building fund or program to be able to facilitate the growth of our church.
We will have street outreaches, such as “Day at the Park” with Cornerstone, Softball Tournaments,
and press toward growing our Bus Ministry.
We will always seek to have dynamic praise and worship, which allows the move of the Spirit to bring
the lost and hurting to the altars, Personal Ministry, Ministry of the Word, and Evangelism.
We will give regular expression and honor to God’s spirit and His power.
He is the Spirit of the church and it is only by His power that we can succeed. As CWC grows and
moves forward
We will keep a commitment and focus on prayer, we will make prayer a vital part of our culture on
every level of the church.
We will train up leaders and preachers and pastors to go out from our church to take the gospel and
increase the body of Christ.
We will begin the makings and starting the visions of Cornerstone’s very own drug rehabilitation
center. “BREAKING FREE”
We will begin the visions of a Prison Ministry, Street Ministry, Singles Ministry, Nursing Home
Ministry and Senior Saints Ministry.
We will push to further our BOP “Babies of Promise” Ministry to the
un-churched or hurting young teen mothers.
We will begin looking toward the future of bringing in a Christian College to help disciple our church
membership and others in the community.
The growth of our church occurs through the natural process of reproduction, much like our bodies.
Healthy bodies produce healthy offspring.
We will strive for a healthy church here at Cornerstone Worship Center aggressively
pursuing these areas.
• Evangelism: Matthew 28:18-20
This scripture inspires our commitment to constantly winning people to Christ. Everything we do will
revolve around fulfilling this objective. We will not forget those who are lost and dying in a world that
is forever increasing the size of hell. Our Society is decaying and growing with religious deception. We
must remind ourselves that the answer is Jesus and Jesus alone. We have been commanded by him to
preach his name until his return. We at CWC will boldly and constantly and aggressively preach the
gospel.
• Discipleship
We will continue to train and raise up and disciple those who have been brought to us so that they find
their place of fulfillment and purpose in the body of Christ. We must train and release disciples into the
fullness of their calling in God’s kingdom
• Local Missions
By supporting our local missions we can impact our city for Christ, such as our Crisis Center, Teen
Challenge, feeding the hungry, and clothing the poor. CWC getting involved in our community as our
church becomes a healing station.
